GN at a Crossroads: Shareholders Reject Proposal to Raise Capital by Issuing New Shares

Reports from GN Store Nord and its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held this morning indicate the company will need to seek other alternatives than its previous proposal to raise about US$1 billion (DKK7 billion) by issuing new shares. Market analysts say this could include splitting up the company's two divisions (Hearing and Audio) for a sale or merging with Demant or another company.

Hearing Thresholds for Unscreened U.S. Adults: Data From the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 2011-2012, 2015-2016, and 2017-2020

Larry Humes, PhD, analyzed hearing threshold levels (HTLs) at 500-8,000 Hz from two different NHANES databases about 10 years apart. He found HTLs in the older dataset to be slightly higher (worse) at several frequencies, with median HTLs 2-5 dB worse at 500 Hz for males and females, and 2-8 dB worse at 4-6 kHz for males than the newer NHANES estimates. As in prior analyses of NHANES data, HTLs worsened with age, were better for females than males, and were better for Non-Hispanic Blacks than for Non-Hispanic Whites
