Apple Adds Adaptive Audio to Airpods for Smarter Conversations

Yesterday, at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple announced Adaptive Audio for AirPods, a new listening mode that dynamically blends Transparency mode and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) together based on the conditions of a user’s environment to deliver the best experience at that moment.

Nuheara secures $4.4 million at a premium to accelerate US market growth

Study assesses consequences of environmental contaminants on developing auditory system

A recent study at the Beckman Institute (Univ of Illinois Urbana-Champaign) shows that polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs)—unlike mechanisms that drive typical hearing loss in the cochlea—act directly on the auditory cortex, causing reorganization of the neuronal connections.

New study shows promising treatment for tinnitus using bi-sensory stimulation

A double-blinded study from researchers at the University of Michigan’s Kresge Hearing Research Institute suggests tinnitus relief may be possible with treatment that involves Auricle Inc's timed bisensory (auditory plus somatosensory) stimulation.
