Influence of Hearing Loss on Social Participation in Older Adults: Results From a Scoping Review
The researchers conclude: "Early detection of hearing loss, holistic assessment, and interdisciplinary intervention and collaboration remain the key recommendations in promoting social participation for older adults with hearing loss...As social participation is a key determinant of well-being and health and the prevalence of hearing loss is increasingly important in aging societies, it is necessary to better assess and intervene accordingly.”
